This Winter, Follow These Easy Home Remedies To Prevent Cracked Heels!

Taking care of your feet may be difficult, especially during winter. But we have brought some easy home remedies to cure your cracked heels.

As soon as the weather changes and the cold winds blow, our skin goes for a toss. Not just our skin starts getting dry, but we also suffer from chapped lips and cracked heels. In such cases, we can apply moisturizers and lip guards to protect our face and body, but we often ignore our feet. We forget to moisturize our ankles which eventually results in them getting cracked. Cracked heels can be really painful; therefore, it is important to take care of your ankles just like you care for the other body parts. It is important to apply vaseline or a heavy moisturizer on your feet every night before going to bed. But if your heels have already cracked, here are some home remedies that can rescue you.

Home remedies for cracked heels:

Asafoetida will heal your heels:

If your heels have cracked, make a paste of asafoetida and apply it to your heels. To make a paste, add some water to the asafoetida and leave it overnight. Then blend it to make a paste in the morning. Apply this paste on your heels and leave it for a few hours. You can also cover your feet with polythene to prevent the cold air from hitting your ankles. Do this regularly for a couple of days, and your heels will cure completely.

Coconut oil is equally effective:

You can either apply coconut oil in its natural form or mix it with some wax and apply it on your heels to get some instant relief. Coconut oil will also heal any wounds present on your heels.

Honey for cracked heels:

If you have badly cracked heels, then honey can be the best solution for you. Mix some honey in lukewarm water and soak your heels for 20 minutes. Then take them out and wipe them off with a cloth. Apply some moisturizer or cream. This will help your heels recover faster.

Olive oil to soften your heels:

Olive oil is best for cracked heels and for the skin in general. Once you wash your feet with warm water, massage them with olive oil. You can also apply olive oil every night before going to bed. Just ensure that the ankles do not get dusty, post the oil application.
