Millie Bobby Brown is preparing for a new role in her life as the (future) wife of Jake Bongiovi, the son of Jon Bon Jovi. The Stranger Things actress, featured on Glamour’s latest cover, shared in her interview with the magazine that the idea of becoming a wife wasn’t initially on her mind. However, her perspective changed after meeting Bongiovi.
“He’s so kind. And his heart is just loving and wonderful and smart,” she gushed of her 21-year-old fiancé, noting that getting married “wasn’t my dream … my dream was to have a baby.”
Brown’s original plan was to emulate the way her mother and grandmother raised her, but she didn’t factor getting married into her life plans. “I wanted to be the woman that my mom is to me and I wanted to be the woman that my grandmother was to me,” she said. “So that was never my, like, intention, to be a wife. But after meeting Jake and seeing, ‘Oh, I don’t have to be this stereotypical wife for him. He doesn’t want me to be that either. He wants me to go and do my thing and live my life, and he will hold my hand in the process of that.’ I was like, ‘Oh, I do want this.’”
The exact date of Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi’s wedding remains uncertain. Nevertheless, the 19-year-old actress shared that her parents’ marriage and the strong bonds she has observed between her future in-laws have been significant sources of inspiration.
“We were fortunate to have had positive, loving relationships modeled for us, so it’s something we both deeply value,” she explained. Brown also expressed her gratitude for the warm acceptance and embrace she has received from Bongiovi’s family, emphasizing the joy of finding a second family within them.
