The Chicago Bears experienced a double setback this past Sunday, as they not only faced a loss on the scoreboard but also a concerning blow with the injury to their starting quarterback.
In their 19-13 defeat against the Minnesota Vikings, Bears quarterback Justin Fields was forced to exit the game due to an injury to his throwing hand. Specifically, Fields endured a dislocated thumb on his right hand, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, who cited sources. Fortunately, X-rays yielded negative results, offering some relief, but a more detailed evaluation through an MRI scheduled for Monday will determine the extent of any additional damage, Rapoport added.
