Alia Bhatt spoke about the misconceptions about her marriage in the latest episode of Koffee with Karan.
Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor were the latest guests on Karan Johar’s Koffee with Karan. During the episode, Alia addressed the many rumors about her on social media. When Karan asked Alia if there was any misconception about her that she would like to clarify, the actor said, “It’s the age of the internet, there’s a misconception a week.”
Alia elaborated, stating, “There are days when I supposedly undergo buccal fat surgery, other days I’m accused of skin whitening, and now there are rumors about marriage issues. Misconceptions are just that – misconceptions, and they don’t affect me. You do you, and I’ll do me.” When asked by Karan Johar what kind of automated message she would create for trolls, Alia responded, “Hi, this is Alia Bhatt. If leaving a message is going to make you feel better, please go ahead and do so after the beep.”
Alia, earlier in the episode, also spoke about how Ranbir was being misunderstood by the internet after she talked about him not liking her lipstick in a make-up video. “My team told me, ‘This is going a little out of hand.’ And I was like, ‘It’s okay, let it be.’ because genuinely, people say things all the time. But then I realized that serious articles are talking about how he’s a toxic man and this and that. And I’m like, ‘Are we serious?’I think the only reason I felt bad, or feel bad is that if people misunderstand, is because he’s genuinely the opposite of all of that,” she said.
Alia said that Ranbir tells her to not complain about such things and shared, “In fact, Ranbir says that ‘Alia, the audience owns you, they can say what the hell they want about you. As long as your movies are doing well, please do not complain sitting in your apartment in Bandra.”
