The deadline for integrating Aadhaar and PAN cards is getting closer. The income tax division has stated that March 31 will be the final day to link these two documents. For all financial transactions, both of these documents are essential. The use of Aadhaar cards in conjunction with PAN cards is now required by the government. Do you know that linking your PAN to your Aadhaar can be done in a few simple steps. Even a message for Aadhaar-PAN linking can be entered. This is the procedure.
If you don’t link your Aadhaar cards with PAN cards, your PAN will be deleted, according to CBDT. The deadline is March 31. You won’t be able to use PAN starting on April 1, 2023.
PAN cards and Aadhaar can be linked in two different ways. One method is by using the e-filing website incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in. SMS is the alternate method. This is how you do it.
In UIDPAN format, type a text. Text the following to 56161 or 567678. The text message will read: UIDPAN XXXXXXXX1487 ABCDE1234X if your PAN number is ABCDE1234X and your Aadhaar number is XXXXXXXXX1487. You can send this to 56161 or 567678.
You can also access your account by visiting https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ and signing in. Log in to your website. You will have a user ID of PAN. Insert your password here.
There will be a pop-up window. You will be prompted to link your PAN and Aadhaar cards in this window.
If you can’t find the window, select profile settings from the Menu bar. Select “Link Aadhaar” from the menu.
Check the Aadhaar and PAN information. Click the link button. An alert stating that your Aadhaar card and PAN have been linked will appear.
